“There’s a big difference between just feeling sorry for yourself and reflecting on your feelings. If you can’t talk to anyone openly about them, then journal. If you don’t know what’s wrong, you can’t fix it. Reflection is essential. Write down what you’re feeling, what seems to be causing the draining and depressing feelings, and think in terms of how you’re contributing to the circumstances (even if only by allowing them to continue) and what you can do to change them.
